EarthEnergy - a GeoScience company receive
Cornwall Sustainability Award

EarthEnergy has received a Cornwall Sustainability award in recognition of its work installing renewable energy heating systems in social housing, providing tenants with affordable central heating in areas with no mains gas.
In partnership with Powergen and Calorex, EarthEnergy has played a pivotal role in developing a geothermal heating and hot water solution specifically for the UK social housing sector.
The package consists of a Powergen HeatPlant unit installed and commissioned by EarthEnergy for a single simple fixed price, which can be accurately budgeted for from the outset. This enables clients to transfer the risk of drilling boreholes to EarthEnergy, who have the expertise and experience to manage this risk in the most appropriate way and provide public sector clients with the certainty of outcome that they require.
Unlocking the ability for the public sector to install renewable geothermal energy systems in their houses gives them the ability to address the need for whole house heating systems in areas where there is no mains gas. This approach addresses the three 'legs' of sustainability, Economic, Environmental and Social, providing affordable heating in an environmentally friendly way giving the social benefits of central heating.
Through the incorporation of this renewable energy technology, Registered Social Landlords (RSLs) can achieve the Decent Homes Standard, Eco-Homes Excellent Rating and deliver Affordable Warmth, bringing tenants out of Fuel Poverty in a Low Carbon way.
