Engineering, both mechanical and electrical, is one of the largest sectors of industry in Cornwall and includes some of the most innovative and technically advanced companies in the country.
By working with each other, thus creating a stronger identity, the profile and awareness of the Cornish Engineering industry is raised locally, nationally and internationally.

To help improve the engineering sector in Cornwall, the group is also responsible for a project known as STAKES (Skills Training Across Key Emerging Sectors) which, in partnership with the Learning and Skills Council, provide part-funding for training for engineering businesses/companies in the county.
