Cornwall at its best….

At a glitzy ceremony in Quaglinos in London, Worldwide Financial Planning, based in Truro and Wadebridge stole the show again with a clean sweep of the Financial Times awards from the Financial Adviser.

It is not the first time this has happened. In the last 24 months Worldwide have actually won every possible award in the FT competitions including UK Investmenmt Adviser of the Year.

Every Financial adviser in the UK has an opportunity to enter the competition and only the finest are shortlisted with the assistance of the judges and AKG consultants. All the shortlisted advisers have to fly to London to sit on front of the judges and are grilled on a case study for an hour.

Ronan Marrion, Mark Atherley, and Jeff Lenihan were the shortlisted advisers for Worldwide who were overwhelmed, as one by one, their names were called out to collect their respective awards by the FT.

Worldwide won Commercial Mortgage Adviser of the Year, Adverse Mortgage Adviser of the Year and lastly Overall Mortgage Adviser of the Year.

Peter McGahan, Managing Director of Worldwide commented “ once again we have brought a team to the awards and we find ourselves on a plane home bundled with awards and a few nice glasses of wine! I am always very very proud. It is great for Cornwall that a Cornish Firm can travel to the finance capital of the World and compete against the best and win”

The team commented “ it just goes to show with the correct training what is possible. Many believe the best is in London but from our domination of these awards you can see the best are in Cornwall – and it only takes us 4 minutes to get to work!”
